Novel Update: March 9, 2026 – Knocking on Calliope’s Door

Dear Reader,

Writing has become my life partner. Every day I knock on Calliope’s door. I imagine her standing at the threshold like a bored teenager thinking, You again? Euterpe, too. Especially Euterpe. 

It has become a precious need. I haven’t gone a day without writing. That’s not to say that everything I produce is brilliant––far from it. Some days, it is nothing more than rambling. But the act of showing up matters. 

I am now deep in Act III of my novel, with thirty-five chapters written so far.

This is where the great secrets begin to surface. Not all at once––my main character will still have to fight for the truth. But because I’m feeling generous, I’ll leave you with a small clue: 

“Something moans from the deep. Creaking bones and shrieking bottles.”

Reaching this point has filled me with both excitement and pride. The work continues, but the ending is beginning to come into view. 

And I will see it through.
